"One to one and one-half tablespoons of Snider's Catsup for each person to be served. Add the Catsup to the soup just before removing from stove or pour into soup after it is served.
We advise pouring Snider's Catsup directly on the oysters, and whether they are served on the half shell or bulk, use a spoon or an oyster fork.
One pint large oysters: one-half cup flour; one-half cup milk; one-half cup Snider's Tomato Catsup; one-half teaspoon salt. Mix thoroughly the flour, milk, Catsup and salt; dip oysters into mixture, then roll them in cracker crumbs. Fry in sweet, fresh lard, butter or olive oil until a dark brown. Serve very hot.
Snider's Catsup is popularly known as a perfect relish for roast beef, steaks, cutlets, fish, oysters and many other foods the good housewife is familiar with."

Fast Color, 32 inches wide
Ginghams for School Days
Gingham is the fabric for all-the-year school service. Steam-heated days indoors, no matter how cold the weather outside, make it almost a health necessity.
Kalburnie Zephyrs in the Fall patterns reflect the warm browns and crimsons of the Autumn, just as their Spring patterns have the cool greens of early Summer or the brilliancy of August sunshine. You will find that they are slow to show soil and that they blend with the warm tones of the children's Winter wraps.
So plan to dress your children in Kalburnie Zephyr this Winter. The lovely non-fading patterns, the weight and the price of these ginghams will help to make it the material of your choice. We will replace with an equal yardage of the same or similar pattern, any piece of Kalburnie Zephyr in which the colors run or fade.
Look for 'Lancaster Kalburnie' on every yard of the selvage. Lancaster Mills, where Kalburnie Zephyr is woven, were the first power-driven gingham mills in the world.
Mrs. Prentiss learned the value of the fast-color gingham. You will enjoy the value of the fast-color gingham. You will enjoy reading of her experiences in 'Mandy of Ginghams,' free upon request."

"Play my game of 'Powder Shades'
See if the Shade You Are Using is Really the Right One for You! By Lady Esther
You're pretty sure about the shade of face powder you use, aren't you? You're quite certain it's the right shade for you.
What would you say if you were to find out it was the wrong shade entirely for you? Don't be so sure that this isn't the case. As any artist or make-up expert will tell you, many women use the wrong shade of face powder entirely. The result is, they look years older than they really are.
The reason so many women use the wrong shade of face powder is that they select their shades on the wrong basis altogether. It's a mistake to select your shade of face powder according to your so-called 'type.' You are not a 'type.' You are an individual."

"Wilson's Certified Ham
This picture is from an actual photograph. It shows the quality that is 'Certified' in these hams.
We can certify is because we select the hams, give them our slow, mild cure and smoke them to the last touch of perfection in flavor. 'Certified' quality means hams that cook better, slice in tender, tempting style - wafer-thin or as thick as you like - and have a flavor that is unapproachable.
We shall be glad to send you free a copy of 'Wilson's Meat Cookery' - our book showing how to buy and cook meats economically.
