Marlice was the trade mark of my grandfather, Mario Molho de Almosnino, a French refugee in Portugal during the second world war. Mario Molho de Almosnino was a jew originating from Salonica (Thessaloniki).
Marlice was the contraction of Mario and Alice (his wife Alice Benveniste).
